William CRAWFORD moved to Greene Co., GA in the late 1700's from Hanover, VA. He lived near Beaverdam Creek, where he had some mills. William died in 1805. Executors of his will were his son, Elisha G. Crawford and William Hill, Benjamin Maddux; Witnesses were Thomas Rutledge, James Smith, and Phil Hunter. I wondered if William was a Revolutionary soldier because of his age and his move to Greene Co.in the late 1700's. Would welcome any information.

I am trying to find out more about the family of the wife of the second president of Baylor University, Waco, Texas... Her name was Georgianna JENKINS and her father was Pleasant Cicero Jenkins and his brother (who became her step father in 1845) was James R. Jenkins. They lived in Greene County in the early 1800s, leaving in 1836 to move to Texas. What I am trying to find out is a bit about Pleasant C. Jenkins. Any information about these matters... I would be most grateful.
